Dr. Diana Meeks has more than 34 years of experience in management, nursing instruction and education, research, direct patient care; with a focus as a family nurse practitioner, and a passion in the field of geriatrics. Dr. Meeks is an accomplished speaker, presenter, and author. She currently works as a Nursing Professor for Chamberlain University and is CEO and President of DMSResearchAssociates. Previously, Dr. Meeks was a Board Member for the National Coalition on the Prevention of Elder Abuse and a reviewer for the Journal of Elder Abuse and Neglect. She currently serves as a peer reviewer on the education committee of the Georgia Nurses’ Association. Dr. Meeks is a 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo and a certified Taekwondo Instructor. In addition, Dr. Meeks is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the American Nurses Association, a Stephen Minister, and volunteers for several other organizations.
She recently was the recipient of the Jan Van Der Verde Award for Nursing Education Excellence.
Dr. Meeks received her RN Diploma from Saint Lawrence College, her Bachelor’s in Nursing Science from Queen’s University, her Master’s in Nursing Science, her Family Nurse Practitioner, and her Clinical Specialist from Kennesaw State University, and her PhD in Nursing from Georgia State University, with a focus on elder abuse knowledge and prevention.
