A working mom and UCLA-trained pediatrician, Dr. Tanya Altmann is a best-selling author, network television parenting expert, and entertainment and child product industry consultant. Dr. Tanya is an American Academy of Pediatrics spokesperson, approved by the national physician organization to communicate complicated medical issues into easily understood concepts.
As a child health expert for numerous news programs and talk shows, including Today (NBC), KTLA 5 Morning News (CW Los Angeles), and The Doctors, Dr. Tanya has discussed breaking medical news stories and controversial parenting issues.
Dr. Tanya has a broad understanding of the most recent preventive health and medical developments. She founded Calabasas Pediatrics, an integrative pediatric wellness center, with a focus on nutrition, healthy lifestyle and school success. She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and on the Editorial Advisory Board for Sharecare.
She has written several best-selling parenting books including What to Feed Your Baby, Mommy Calls, and her latest book, Baby and Toddler Basics will be released January, 2019. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Caring for Your Baby and Young Child: Birth to Age 5.
Dr. Tanya lives with her husband and three boys in Calabasas, CA where they enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, skiing and traveling.
