Male Caregivers in Philadelphia
This production busts the myth that male African American family caregivers don't care about others or even themselves. Meet a group of African American men who regularly gather to support one another and openly share their challenges caring for family members. This support group co-founded by both a physician and a social worker creates a safe place for men to share their feelings. By using techniques often associated with other self-help groups, these men learn from one another and become stronger and far more resilient. We see how the power of prayer comes full circle.
