Positivity – Everyday Love
All you need is love. Surveys show that most people consider romantic love to be their primary source of happiness. Barbara Lee Fredrickson, a psychology professor at UNC, suggests that love is best defined in small moments of shared positivity. It’s called “positivity resonance.” This everyday love, she says, should be the kind of love that defines day-to-day life and day-to-day joy. Templeton World Charity Foundation funded Dr. Fredrickson’s project, “Understanding Everyday Love: Do Increases in Positivity Resonance Increase Virtuous Behavior?” This video, part of the Stories of Impact documentary series, tells the story of her inspiring research.
