Virtual and Mixed Realities
Although adults with autism or other disabilities have the ability to work, their unemployment rate is over 80%. Job interviews are a major barrier to employment. The Virtual Interactive Training Agent - Dan Marino Foundation (ViTA-DMF) software was designed by the Foundation and The USC's Institute for Creative Technologies as a powerful virtual tool immersing participants in virtual scenarios to refine interviewing skills by practicing with avatars. Over the last two years, a mixed-reality format of ViTA-DMF-Magic Leap One was developed in partnership with Magic Leap making it possible for avatars to be placed directly in the participant’s real-world environment.
